PORAC ENDORSES JANICE HAHN FOR LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR.
Los Angeles - The Peace Officers Research Association of California (PORAC) announced today it is backing Los Angeles City Councilwoman Janice Hahn in her bid to become California's next Lieutenant Governor.
"Councilwoman Janice Hahn impressed us at our endorsement interview, she knows the issues important to keeping our streets safe, protecting our neighborhoods and strengthening California's public-safety infrastructure" said Ron Cottingham, President of PORAC and a Lieutenant with the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.
"I am so proud and honored that the men and women of PORAC have endorsed me to be the next Lt. Governor of California," Hahn said. "They put their lives on the line every day to protect our streets and keep our communities safer and I am honored that they have put their faith in me."
PORAC represents more than 850 member organizations with nearly 62,000 members across California. It is one of the largest law enforcement groups in the country.
Hahn's campaign also has been endorsed by the California Federation of Teachers, California Professional Firefighters and National Women's Political Caucus of California, among others.
